What do we learn about God’s willingness to forgive those who repent?
YOUTH LESSON ACTIVITY. KINDLY FORGIVE Ephesians 4:32 rebus poster & peace rose card. Youth can learn this scripture to remind them that their presence personally and on social media is trusted by all and especially the Lord, to be kind and forgiving. It is easier than trying to take back unkind words/actions. Also, God forgives; why can’t we? READ MORE
#2
Share the gospel with LOVE
POST-AND-PRESENT. FRIEND-OR-FOE? Slap/flip game. Youth learn the difference between being a FRIEND and a FOE. A FRIEND is patient, cheerful, nice, and helpful. A FOE is like an enemy: impatient, not kind, grouchy, and uncaring. READ MORE
#3
Share the gospel by EXAMPLE
YOUTH LESSON ACTIVITY. EXAMPLE DECISION Drama or Draw. When decisions need to be made, who do you look to for an example? Jesus Christ is our perfect example. This helps the youth know the difference between a positive and a negative and increases their desire to choose the right. READ MORE
#4
Share the gospel with THE BOOK OF MORMON
YOUTH LESSON ACTIVITY. LEHI’S VISION – TREE OF LIFE 3-D vision box. Youth can share this vision box with their friends or family (1 Nephi 8, 11, and 15:21-36). Looking through the window they can share how the Prophet Lehi sees a vision and partakes of a special fruit and desires his family to partake. He sees a rod of iron and a narrow path that leads them through a mist of darkness where people are mocking the righteous. Nephi interprets the vision where God divides the wicked from the righteous. To help those you teach share impressions from their study of Jonah this week, you could display a picture of Jonah (see this week’s outline in Come, Follow Me—For Individuals and Families). Invite them to discuss what they learned about sharing the gospel from Jonah’s experiences. You might invite them to specifically review Jonah 1 and 3 and ask: What do we learn about sharing the gospel with those who may not seem ready to change? What do we learn about God’s willingness to forgive those who repent? To inspire members of your class or quorum to share the gospel, use one or more of the following activities or create one of your own.
