Look for these activity handouts to help you teach lesson concepts and give them TEACHING TOOLS to plan and develop lesson objectives. These lesson-match interactive activities will add to and enhance your lessons.

(1) FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST

What themes or messages stood out to us? What strengthened our faith in Jesus Christ?

YOUTH LESSON ACTIVITY. PLANT & GROW SEEDS OF FAITH flip book. Youth will flip over this flip-book where a tree that starts small as a seed grows into a large tree as you flip the pages. We too can start with small acts of faith with works they grow, e.g. a testimony or action creating positive results. Great tool for discussion about goals and promises to self, parents, and God.

2) TESTIMONY OF LIVING PROPHETS

What strengthened our testimonies of living prophets? What did we feel prompted to do because of what we learned or felt?

YOUTH LESSON ACTIVITY. FIRST VISION Memory Match Game or Tell-the-Story cards. Youth can start by reading James 1:5 which motivated Joseph Smith to pray in the Sacred Grove to ask God which church was true. The Father and the Son appeared to him to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ again upon the earth.

(3) GENERAL CONFERENCE

What do we need to do as a class or quorum to remember and act on counsel we heard in general conference?

YOUTH GAME ACTIVITY. Conference BINGO Super Listener’s Conference Fun. Using bean, corn, or coin markers, get ready to spot spontaneous conversations about the gospel with this General Conference topics BINGO game. Youth can later shout out things they have learned as the topics are called. Have prizes for winners. If watching General Conference together with other youth or family, use the game board to mark your place when topics are talked about in Conference.

(4) TESTIFY OF PRINCIPLES

Testify of the principles taught.

YOUTH GOAL ACTIVITY. PROPHET PONDER journal. Youth will be inspired to write the prophet’s message and to ponder and pray about his words with this page. They can first hear these messages in the April and October general conferences (reading a month later in the Church magazines). The prophet’s words are God’s words to us, a treasure to be treasured.
