Look for these activity handouts to help you teach lesson concepts and give them TEACHING TOOLS to plan and develop lesson objectives. These lesson-match interactive activities will add to and enhance your lessons.

How have we seen the hand of the Lord in our lives?

SCRIPTURE MEMORIZATION. TRUST IN GOD Proverbs 3:5-6 bite-size memorize poster. Youth can share ways they have been guided as they trusted in Heavenly Father. Memorize “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.“READ MORE

(2) Care for those in need.
How can we support each other in the things we are going through?

POST-AND-PRESENT ACTIVITY. SMOOTH SAILING FAMILY Lovey’s Landing SOS Game. As youth choose boats with family problems, they can drive them to the right Save Our Ship Dock: Faith, Prayer, Repentance, or Forgiveness. For example. Linda Lovey worried about her brother who was very sick. What should she do? Park the boat at the PRAYER dock and invite discussion. READ MORE

(3) Invite all to receive the gospel.
How can we better use technology as a tool to share the gospel?

POST-AND-PRESENT ACTIVITY. SHOO FLY DON’T BOTHER ME! media choices Swat Game. Youth can choose to “only read and watch things that are pleasing to Heavenly Father” (a Gospel Standard). Or, “I will only listen to music that is pleasing to Heavenly Father.” From this activity, they will increase their desire to choose wholesome activities that will invite the Spirit to guide them. What are we doing to help our families come unto Christ?

YOUTH GOAL ACTIVITY. SOAR HIGH! Communication Balloon Bouquet. Youth can learn these eight ways to communicate with family and friends by discussing and roleplaying each. Watch as the relationships improve with each balloon strategy, e.g., “Be a good listener” can open the door to communication. Perhaps each youth could take one and present it to the group. READ MORE
